The bergamot is paired with Murakami black tea grown in Murakami City, located in the northernmost part of Niigata Prefecture.
The Murakami black tea used this time is a Japanese black tea produced by Fujimien, which is also sold under the name “Yukiguni Kocha” (Snow Country Black Tea).
The tea has a mild flavor with little astringency, thanks to techniques refined in the harsh environment of long winters and short hours of sunlight. This gently fragrant black tea is combined with ripe, fruity bergamot to create a sweet, soft, and aromatic gin.
